Does ibakepro work in my country?
In most places, yes. ibakepro is not built around one country. You choose which region stores your data when you sign up, you set your own currency, timezone, date format, unit system and tax type, and you take card payments anywhere Stripe operates. The two things limited by geography are where your data can live and where SMS is available, and both are listed below.
Where your data is stored
There are three data regions: Australia, the United States and Europe. The European region is hosted in London and serves both UK and EU customers.
The regions are genuinely separate, not one system with a country label, so choosing a region decides where your records sit. You pick it at signup.
That choice is made once, and there is no self-serve way to change it afterwards. Nothing in the app moves an account from one region to another, and a second business created under the same login has to sit in the same region as your first, so opening another account is not a way around it either.
Which makes it worth a moment's thought at signup rather than after. If you have already picked one and it is wrong, talk to support before you do anything else. What is possible depends on what is already in the account, and it is not a switch you can flip yourself.
Currency, units and dates
Two currency settings exist and they are not the same thing.
The currency you trade in is a setting on your business, and the list is considerably wider than the handful of countries above. It drives what your customers see, what your invoices say and how your analytics report.
Your ibakepro subscription is billed separately, in US dollars, Australian dollars, pounds sterling, euros, Canadian dollars or New Zealand dollars.
Alongside currency you set your timezone, your date format and your unit system. Unit system is metric or imperial throughout, so the same sack of flour reads as 5 kg or as 11 lb depending on which you chose, and a delivery run is costed in kilometres per litre or miles per gallon to match.
For tax you choose the type that applies where you trade, GST, VAT, sales tax and others among them, and set your own rate, with different rates by product category where you need them. ibakepro applies the rate you configure. It is not tax advice, and it does not decide your obligations for you.
What is limited by country
- SMS is available in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Elsewhere, customer notifications go by email, which has no country restriction.
- Payments follow your provider. Stripe is the gateway you connect today, with PayPal and Square coming soon, and each operates in its own list of countries. If none of them serves yours you can still invoice and record payments manually.
- Deliveries and routing. Distance, traffic and toll data coverage varies by country. See planning a delivery run.
Four markets have this written out in full, currency, region, tax and notifications together: Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.
Where this does not apply
Food safety and labelling law is national, and often local. ibakepro can hold the records and the allergen information, and print them for an inspector, but the rules those records have to satisfy are set by your own regulator. Nothing here should be read as advice about them.
