Can I see which suppliers cost me the most?
ibakepro records a supplier against every pantry item and every expense, so the information is there and you can search, filter and export by supplier. To rank your suppliers by what you spend with them, export your expenses and total the supplier column: one pivot table, over the same data ibakepro holds.
What ibakepro records against a supplier
On each pantry item: the supplier, their cost per unit, pack size, lead time and an order link. That cost per unit is the figure that flows into every component and product built from the item, so a supplier's prices are visible where they do the most damage, in your recipe costs. Change one and the cost cascades through everything that uses it.
On each expense: an optional supplier, matched by name or picked from your supplier list. The supplier column shows in the expense list, is included when you search expenses and comes through in the CSV export with the rest of the row.
In Settings, under Pantry: the supplier list itself. It is a contact directory (name, contact details, address, company ID) rather than a spend record.
The reports that come closest
- Top ingredients and top supplies. What you consumed over a date range and what it cost you. Ranked by item, not by supplier.
- Expenses by category and revenue against expenses, which will show ingredient spend as a whole.
- Inventory status, where the supplier name appears alongside each item so you can see whose stock is running low.
For the ranking itself, export your expenses for the period, then pivot the supplier column against the amount. That gives you spend per supplier for the range, and you can slice it by category in the same table.
Set it to what they take rather than what they promise, and the stock alerts work back from your event dates using that figure.
